This event will highlight key findings from NTAC’s research on mass attacks in public spaces and share case studies and guidance for implementing a multidisciplinary, community-based approach to violence prevention. The event will emphasize the importance of building
community partnerships to identify and intervene with individuals who elicit safety concerns.
Attendees will have an opportunity to learn from the U.S. Secret Service along with other experts in the field of threat assessment.
Topics will address trends in mass violence, best practices in behavioral threat assessment, the importance of building relationships, case studies examining the impact of targeted violence against women, and the personal experiences of those impacted by targeted violence. It is intended for law enforcement, emergency managers, mental health professionals, community support resource personnel, and public safety partners.
