DESCRIPTION:This summer make a difference in our community by joining Montgomery County Women’s Center for our “31 Miles in 31 Days” Summer Challenge. \nWhether you do one mile a day\, smash out all the miles at once\, or something in between\, you have the chance to make a difference this summer. Grab your family and friends\, or go it alone\, but it’s time to get outside and help some of our county’s most vulnerable people by taking part in the challenge of completing 31 miles or more and raising money for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. ​ Run\, bike\, walk or swim 31 miles or more in July/August and help fund services for victims and their families.  \nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER: igfn.us/form/W_cweg

SUMMARY:Adopt-A-Meal - August 2022
DESCRIPTION:Adopt-A-Meal: Cook or Sponsor a Meal for our Shelter Residents! Our shelter only has a cook Monday – Friday so\, Montgomery County Women’s Center relies on the support of volunteer groups to provide weekend meals to shelter residents. If your family\, corporation\, or civic group would like to cook and serve a meal or drop off/cater a meal from a local restaurant at our Adult or Family Center\, consider “Adopting-a-Meal“! \nEmail MelanieJ@mcwctx.org to schedule your meal today! \nOn average our shelter houses 40 adults women and 20 children. Casseroles can also me pre-made and dropped off frozen for staff to cook as needed. Gift cards can be donated to cover the cost of pizza\, tacos or burgers and fries!!! \n\nLunch Ideas: Sandwiches\, wraps\, fruit and veggies\, pre-packaged individual items\nDinner Ideas: chicken\, mac and cheese\, salad\, and cookies.
