DESCRIPTION:MCWC is actively recruiting Bachelor’s and Master’s level interns for the Fall 2026 semester. \nAs a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization\, our mission is to lead the effort in preventing domestic violence and sexual assault through crisis intervention\, assistance\, advocacy\, empowerment\, and social change. To better serve our community and provide a more comprehensive learning experience for students\, we have expanded our internship opportunities. \n\nAvailable Placement Departments\nWe are currently accepting applications for the following areas: \nEmergency Shelter: Direct client support in a crisis environment. \nCommunity Outreach: Prevention education and community engagement. \nHospital Advocacy: Providing immediate support to survivors in medical settings. \nLegal Services: Navigating the justice system and protective orders. \nCase Management: Long-term empowerment and resource coordination. \nWhy Intern with MCWC?\nStudents will gain hands-on experience in a trauma-informed environment. SUMMARY:Back To School Donation Drive
DESCRIPTION:When a survivor of domestic violence comes to the shelter\, it’s because her life is in danger. Often because of circumstances that are beyond her control\, she and her children walk through our doors with very few personal belongings. During their stay here\, we provide all the essentials she and her children need until she can provide these items for herself and her family. Those essentials include backpacks and school supplies. This month we have a donation drive underway to collect enough of them to meet the needs of children at the shelter and those served by our transitional housing\, counseling and legal programs.\n\nImagine being in a domestic violence shelter\, not knowing when things are going to get back to normal and you need to go back to school.\nHelp children and teens impacted by domestic violence return to school prepared and equipped to learn by donating to our Back-to-School\nSupply Drive.\n\nYour donation will help provide school supplies\, suitable clothing\, gas cards to assist with transportation and most of all the reassurance that even today\, a fresh start can lead to success for the children of domestic violence survivors.\n\nThere are three ways you can help:1.
