DESCRIPTION:Join us every Monday Morning LIVE on Facebook in October we discuss a new topic in Honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month! \nJOIN US on Facebook HERE: https://www.facebook.com/mcwctx \nChallenging the Myths: Domestic abuse is a crisis that affects us all\, and it has devastating impacts. In 2022\, TCFV recorded the deaths of 179 women and 37 men killed by an intimate partner or stalking perpetrator across 64 Texas counties. This includes 176 women killed by male partners\, 34 men killed by female\npartners\, and three women and three men killed by same-gender\npartners. Six LGBTQ+ victims and two women killed by a\nstalking perpetrator who sought unwanted relationships with them are among those killed. \nThis must change. \nThere are many myths around domestic abuse and its causes. Help us challenge some of the most widely-believed and deep-rooted misconceptions. \n  \nOther topics this month include: \nOctober 7th- Domestic Violence and Pets A Barrier to Leaving\nOctober 14th- Myths vs. Facts\nOctober 21th- TCFV Report 2023\nOctober 28th- TCFV Report 2023 -Spanish
