DESCRIPTION:Join us for our 2024 Open Your Purse For Change Brunch and Fashion Show\nThe Montgomery County Women’s Center (MCWC) will hold its 11th annual “Open Your Purse for Change” event on October 10\, 2024\, beginning at 10:00am at The Carlton Woods- Nicklaus. \nThe popular event is the nonprofit’s largest fundraiser of the year. This elegant brunch features a fashion show\,  silent auction of new or gently-loved handbags along with designer sunglasses. The event also includes an inspirational speaker who shares a testimonial about surviving domestic and/or sexual abuse. \n“When I first toured the shelter\, I realized many of the women had to flee a very dangerous situation\, often leaving their purse behind as they left in the middle of the night with nothing but their children to seek safety.” – Ally Seder\, Event Co-Chair \nIt’s amazing how a simple purse can bring about so much inspiration and power.
